Vision

Unlocking Digital Potential

Mission

Offer a high quality Arabic scientific platform that grows
digital entrepreneurs to a global standard

Kwn.education

An Arabic Platform meant to build and create Digital Entrepreneurs for the Arab World. The name itself ‘Kwn’ is the Arabic word for ‘Create’ or ‘Build’; delivering in its name a call for action to build and create ones future, ones online business, or ones app.

The concept evolved from a recognition of the vast employment and entrepreneurial opportunities that emerged across the digital world and our realization of the minimal leverage Arab youth made in that field. The large number of Arab youth and the increasing rates of unemployment in the Arab region, added to the enormous lack and tremendous need for quality Arabic digital content and service platforms, made the goal of building up digital literacy amongst Arab Youth a key priority.

Developing digital literacy amongst Arab Youth, requires availability of affordable, accessible and accredited quality Arabic education in the digital media field. Kwn.education comes to deliver precisely that.

It is a platform that offers highly affordable internationally accredited Digital Media Qualifications delivered over the internet in Arabic language by Digital Media professors, experts, and practitioners from leading universities around the world.

The two-year Digital Media degrees offered, comprise the collective knowledge and skills required to become either a Digital Entrepreneur, a Digital Executive or a Digital Consultant, covering topics of not only web and app development, graphic design and user experiences amongst others, but also important business aspects such as finance for designers and creatives, IP management in the design and creative industries, including Leadership and People Management in the Design and Creative Industries.

The vocational qualifications offered aim to build up all the skills needed for learners to become Digital Entrepreneurs or Digital Executives establishing, working for or advising leading Companies in the Arab World.

We aim to create the Arab versions of Uber, Facebook, Twitter Arab-Youth-preneurs.

The learning including the practical course accompanying assessments are all delivered entirely online, to ensure all content covered is up to date, and draws on the most qualified professors from around the world, whom vast experience would have them quote global and local stories and examples of successful digital businesses and solutions. Internationally these being examples such as Uber, Airbnb, and booking.com, whereas locally, recognized businesses are Talabat.com, Souq.com, and Bayt.com amongst others.

Course content also includes videos of interviews with founders and CEOs of successful Digital Businesses sharing their lessons and experiences with learners.

Concept Appeal

The concept appeals to Arabic speaking Muslims around the world for a number of reasons, first being the fact that it is delivered entirely in Arabic and online, making it accessible for many Arab Muslims around the world who don’t speak languages besides Arabic. This includes many of the recently displaced families living as refugees in western countries as a result of wars taking place in their home countries. Many of them do not speak languages besides Arabic, and have no means to continue their education or secure an income for living.

The second aspect, is the fact that the degrees are highly affordable. Each three-month long unit from the 16 unit diploma, is priced at USD100, that’s a little more than a dollar a day, making it affordable for many of those families. Furthermore, the reasonable price, made it an attractive offering also for sponsoring entities wishing to support.

The third aspect is the fact the degrees are accredited by internationally recognized accreditation bodies, and recognised in most countries around the world, providing a means for graduating individuals to either continue the pursuit of their higher education or seek employment from that degree.

Furthermore, these qualifications do not require having a National ID to have ones certificate issued, which for many refugees used to form a major barrier and comes now as an advantage and solution to that obstacle.

Finally, the fact that the degree is offered entirely online, provides learners with the flexibility to work and study at the same time. So for people who don’t have the luxury of going for their studies full time, can now pursue their studies alongside their work. In addition to people working, there are many Muslim women around the world, who do not have either the means to travel for studying or because of family constraints cannot leave their home. For those women, kwn.education comes as a dream come true, because it not only allows them to study from the comfort of their home, but furthermore it equips them with the knowledge and skills they need to set up their online business and make money from home.
